Freepik licenses images from its stock content library to AI developers and, in partnership with fal.ai, released F Lite, a roughly 10-billion-parameter open text-to-image model trained on about 80 million of Freepik’s own licensed images rather than scraped web data. Freepik has positioned itself alongside Adobe, Getty Images, and Shutterstock as part of a group of vendors building or licensing models on rights-cleared content.
