Associated Press

The Associated Press, a not-for-profit news cooperative founded in 1846 and based in New York, operates AP Archive, a video licensing division covering more than 1.7 million video stories dating back to 1895, alongside AP Images, its photography licensing arm. In July 2023, AP separately licensed part of its historical text news archive to OpenAI in one of the first news-industry AI training data deals.
